NPR recently posted an article about how much the internet knows about your kids. The article points out that a toy company called VTech recently had a security breach where two different data bases could easily be linked together to obtain all sorts of information about the kids using the toys. The kids pictures, the full names and addresses of the kids etc.

The article also points out that Google agrees not to mine the kids information without the parents permission. But this seems to be limited to certain uses. Thus using youtube and other such items allows google and others to gather information about the kids.

Does anybody have concerns about the possible information that Google and other companies are gathering about our kids? Does anybody feel concerned that once this information is available it may be misused?
